About

Wykinnya Whitehurst is a proud mother, wife, friend, author and an inspiration to those who surround her.   She is fun loving, caring and blessed with a rare talent of connecting with others easily identifying with the knowledge and understanding that there are few coincidences in life -  almost every event has a reason. The scars of her childhood have rehabilitated her to recognize while her younger years were not perfect she knew she was loved. She is passionate about helping others, especially women.  She uses her life's trials and tribulations to teach women that they too can overcome obstacles and see their dreams come true.  She paints her life's story with broad strokes telling it like it is and not mincing words. She channels the soft memories of her childhood pain in allowing all women to connect with her and feel joy in her successes. She gives tirelessly to her family and friends and still finds time to give to her community. She knows what it feels like to be and feel alone. She extends her heart and arms to those in need. All the challenges in her life has made her grow internally -  becoming stronger and more determined to help others restore their faith in knowing, “it will get better.” Her primary goal in life is to leave this world a better place. One of the reasons she wrote the book "Things Collected Along the Way" is because each day she wants to uplift and inspire someone to be better than they were the day before.
